Haws Corporation to be Filmed & Featured on Science & Discovery Channel’s How It’s Made Television Series

The popular documentary television show How It’s Made will feature local manufacturing company, Haws Corporation, in an upcoming segment. The series airs on Discovery Network’s Science Channel and shows the step-by-step manufacturing process for items that are part of our daily lives. The segment will air next season and will feature a Haws pedestal drinking fountain, Model 3060, and will be filmed onsite at the Sparks facility on December 1, 2011.

Haws Corporation is a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated company, headquartered in Northern Nevada with additional global locations. In 1906, Luther Haws assembled the world’s first drinking fountain in Berkeley, California while working as a self-employed plumber and sanitation inspector, and in 1909 he formed the Haws Sanitary Drinking Faucet Company. Haws Corporation opened its manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada in 1977 and currently employs 160 full-time staff members at that location. With over 100 years of installations, the Haws brand and drinking fountain product line have global acclaim and recognition.
