Haws Corporation Employees Combine Resources to Give Back in 2009

[Sparks, Nevada USA] – Haws Corporation® is a proud member of the Reno/Sparks communities. Throughout 2009 executives and staff have raised money, donated time and items to help those in need.
During 2009 Haws held monthly fundraising events that supported the American Heart Association including a Heart Walk Sponsorship, Prize Raffles, Wii and Ping Pong tournaments, Bar-b-que’s and Morning Muffin sales. These events culminated in over $8,000 that was donated to the local American Heart Association.
- $500 Donation to the Bowl for Wishes, an annual event sponsored by the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
- HydrationStationTM donation to the University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy
- $5,000 scholarship to the University of California, Berkeley.
- In addition, Haws hosted the 3rd annual Bruce White Memorial Golf Tournament. With 96 players they were able to raise over $3,400 for the local Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Society.
- At the end of the year Haws is hosting “12 Days of Giving Back”. For four days during the 3 weeks leading up to Christmas week, Haws will gather donations for different groups in need of assistance each week. Including:
- Food Drive
- Humane Society Animal Item Drive
- Senior Center Donations
- Family in Need Sponsorship
- Care Package to a Troop over Seas
